Using the standard 52-card deck, each player is dealt seven cards. They are ranked in order of value, from Ace to ace. The best hand possible is a Royal Flush. The Royal Flush is comprised of the following: Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace.
Ties are breaks when a high card is dealt. A tie is also broken when two or more people have the same high card. If the high card is not the same as the high card of the tie, the highest pair wins the tie.
A straight is a five-card hand, which is a pair of cards, a single card, and a single card. This is a very difficult hand to beat if bet immediately. It is a good natural hand, but it is not a good off the deal.
A straight flush is five cards of the same suit. It is possible to have both a low and a high straight flush. If the ace is high, it can be either high or low. Similarly, the kings can be both high or low. The ace of hearts can be either high or low.
Poker chips are usually ceramic or plastic. The number of poker chips in the pot determines the number of players who can bet. They are then exchanged for cash.
Each player is required to put in the same number of chips as the player to their left. The player to the left may raise, drop, or check. If a player checks, they must call the bet. If a player folds, they lose any chips in the pot.
